Why affiliate marketing programs don’t work is quite a topic for someone like me who has her own affiliate marketing program to write about. The truth is most of them don’t work, and if you don’t do it, mine won’t work for you either, but that’s not really my point today.
A lot of these programs tell you they will give you a blueprint, step by step and promise that if you follow this blue print, you will make a lot of money. Well that is all fine and well, but many find some of the steps in these blueprints to be something they just don’t want to do. You want me to build a list for example. Not all marketers are like me, but personally, I hate list building. Sadly I didn’t know that was a part of the program I just bought. So I tell myself this isn’t going to work for me and I count my losses and move on.
Each marketer is different. Some want to create multiple income streams, while others want to share their talents and gifts with the world and make money doing it. There are so many ways to do online marketing that it’s not even funny. A zillion ways to make money online. One program can’t possibly fit everyone’s needs.
Mass Marketing Affiliate Marketing Programs Don’t Work
The reason why affiliate marketing programs don’t work is mainly because there is really no way to tailor it to you and what you need or what your dream is. You buy that shiny new thing, the one that promises you all sorts of things masqueraded as hype, and you never hear from that person again until they mail you with the next shinny new thing. I don’t know about you, but that kind of marketing just turns me off and makes me want to toss my cookies. It’s called mass marketing.
Then there is all this new software that is supposed to make your job easier. Sure there is some I can’t live without, such as my Jaaxy keyword tool, but seriously, some of it is totally useless. Take the button type thing that promises to share all your stuff via social media. It’s so impersonal. If my audience can’t know me I am just not interested in it no matter how broad of a reach it may have. I can tweet thousands, but really massive disengaged customers is not what I personally want.
Are You Buying an Honest Affiliate Marketing Program or
Are You Buying the Hype?
Another reason why affiliate marketing programs don’t work is because of all the hype. You get so wrapped up in the hype, which is a marketing ploy by the way. Then the hype wears off and there you are, with this dull step by step program that has quite a few missing pieces. I could go on and on about this hype stuff and the hype as I have discovered does make sales, but it also get a lot of returns. No thank you.
What works for one online marketer simply won’t work for all across the board. We are simply too diverse. Take my private pajama affiliate group for example. They market anything from sex, toys, meditation, hula hooping, emotional freedom techniques to cat beds. These programs don’t seem to take into consideration your passion. There is no mentoring on that.
Is my program different? I like to think so, for started, I am not going to leave you high and dry. You don’t buy my program and never hear from me again. You can connect with me and other mentors that are making this work on Facebook and I add you to my support group. I also offer you more one on one coaching to help you determine your niche and help you get started if you need further guidance.
Pajama affiliates does give you the basics and teach you how to create a lucrative business on line. No hype, no promises, because I honestly don’t know if you have what it takes to make it. If you are looking to get rich quick, this is not for you. If you are willing to take the time to learn the ropes and build a good income over time, then this will work for you.
